Back, back, back!!

It's been a while since I last posted on here. I have been really sick, just when I though I was better it would hit again. My dad thought I had swine flu(which I don't) I would like to appologize for any e-mail I havn't responded to in a timely matter, as I usually check my e-mails daily(okay sometimes hourly, it's bad!) but I just had no energy to even turn on the computer at times. On top of it, I had a final math exam to study for. I am BAD in math, no matter how hard and how long I study I always find myself not making the bar or just passing. It gets so fustrating at times. If I did not pass this exam though, I would not be eligible for college in September. I would have to redo the class- in June, right when I planned to be in Uganda. I am very happy to say that I passed, with an 88%! Uganda here I come.

Over the past week I have received numerouse donations of books, bathing suits, school supplies, etc etc etc! This is absolutely amazing. I receive e-mails from Hellen weekly about children in need. Children found on the streets, children sick with no hope of getting better. All the donations will not only bring a smile to a child's face but I hope it will bring them hope. It will let them know that someone far away cares enough that they have a book in their hands to read, a pair of clean underwear to wear, a teddy bear to cuddle when they sleep at night.

If you would like to send anything to your sponsor child, please e-mail me. There is still a bit of room left to carry on some more donations. Everything will have to arrive before June 16th.

So glad you are feeling better. I sent 2 more packages of books right before I left!
Just not sure where to go next with Adongo Kate and setting her family up with a business. Is it possible to get more info about the family from Helen, particularly the aunt's name and basic details like that. I will get started on fundraising when I get home from the DR. I really would love to get some money going in towards this to get it started. Should I send it all at once or send it in chunks? No need to let me know right away, I know you are a bit behind from being sick. We can just talk about it when you are caught up!

Hey Kate, thanks again for taking our box of kits to Uganda. I am going to a book sale tomorrow so I'll see what I can come up with for your library.

What language do the kids speak/ what language are they taught in school?
